Rev. John Finn

Rev. Finn came to New Pittsburg in 2023, and is also the pastor at Oak Chapel UMC.  He has been at Oak Chapel since 2019. He completed Licensing  School in 2019 and is currently working through his Course of Study requirements.

A former member at Oak Chapel and Church of the Cross United Methodist Churches, both in Wooster, John began pursuing local pastorship in 2014. He served as a volunteer worship leader at Smithville-Western Care Center in Wooster for 15 years (2003-2018).

An administrator in public information and sports information at The College of Wooster for 32 years (1984-2016), John is a graduate of The University of Pittsburgh (1978). He earned his Master’s Degree from The University of Akron (1996).

John and his wife, Sheri, have two adult children, Patrick and Shanna.
